NOT TOO MUCH BASEBALL

...unless you're into the WBC. And we all know Picasner is not.

***ANOTHER PASS ON PEDRO***
Kansas City is the latest. Pedro actually pitched well in the WBC, but no one seems too impressed.

***NO RUSH FOR I-ROD, EITHER***
He had a big day and no push for him, either. Maybe it's the competition that's keeping the scouts quiet.

***A-ROD OPTS FOR SURGERY***
Looks like a 6-9 week rehab. The Yanks should be strong enough to withstand his loss for that long. Now we'll see how Teixeira stands up to the NY pressure.

***SYRACUSE LOOKS GOOD***
They played up to their potential against Marquette. Flynn was amazing, Rautins can shoot, they played good 'D' and Onuaku still looks like they give him a bowling bowl to shoot free throws with.

***PETER GAMMONS SAYS***
He's a decent judge of ability in ball players. His latest: the Florida Marlins Giancarlo Cruz-Michael Stanton. He's 6'4", 240 pounds and can run and throw. He hit 39 homers in the Southern league last year and he's only 19 years old. Remember that name.
